Planning Envelope

Terms of Service

1. Who we are

The Planning Envelope Revit add-in (the "Software") is provided by BIMzy, a sole trader in New Zealand ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms. Contact: support@hirb.co.nz.

2. Licence

When you buy a subscription (or start a free trial) we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on up to 2 computers for the licence period. The licence is for you, or the single organisation that bought it. You may not share your licence key, resell, sublicense, rent or lend the Software, decompile or reverse engineer it (except where the law allows), remove licensing checks, or use it to build a competing product.

3. Subscription, trial and renewal

The Software is sold as an annual subscription (currently NZ$100 per year, excluding any sales tax/VAT) with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends you will be charged when it ends, then once a year on renewal. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy receipt or customer portal; the licence then runs until the end of the paid period. Prices may change for future renewals, and we will give notice before then. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which also calculates and collects applicable taxes.

4. Updates and support

Updates released during an active subscription are included. Support is provided by email at support@hirb.co.nz on a reasonable-efforts basis. We may change or discontinue features, or stop supporting an Autodesk Revit version, with reasonable notice.

5. Licence checks

The Software checks your licence with a licensing server about once a day and works offline for up to 7 days between checks. If your licence expires, is refunded, is charged back or is used in breach of these terms, we may disable it.

6. Your models and output

You keep all rights to your Revit models and the geometry the Software generates. The Software does not upload your models (see the privacy policy).

7. Important: professional responsibility

The Software generates a geometric modelling aid from the boundary lines, ground surface and settings you provide. It is not a planning, legal or compliance determination. Planning rules vary by place and change over time, and results depend on your input data and Revit's geometry engine. You are responsible for checking every result against the applicable rules and with the relevant authority, and for the design decisions you make.

8. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law permits, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data or business, or for design, consent, construction or planning outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law (including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, where it applies to you, or the Australian Consumer Law or EU/UK consumer law) or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are acquiring the Software for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Refunds

See the refund policy.

10. Third-party trademarks

Autodesk and Revit are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk.

11. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the date shown. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country.
